Seismic type velocity transducer

Seismic type velocity transducer

The seismic type velocity transducer is used in machines where the shaft vibrates strongly into the housing with low dampening, resulting in high vibration amplitudes there. The seismic transducer is employed to gauge ground vibration. The seismic transducer's two primary parts are the displacement transducer and the spring-mass damper element. The spring-mass mass damper element is the mass that is directly attached to the spring and damper element without any further support. The displacement is then converted into an electrical amount by the displacement transducer. The earth's vibration, volcanic eruptions, various vibrations, etc. are all measured with a seismic transducer. The damper and spring work together to link the mass to the housing. The source whose vibrations
need to be measured is linked to the housing frame.
